Ardbog Day: Bringing A Taste Of Islay Of London

Ardbeg throws an open annual invitation to all fans to visit the distillery on ‘Ardbeg Day’, traditionally the last day of the Islay Festival and this year falling on 1st June. However, for 2013 the distillery has decided to rename the annual party ‘Ardbog Day’, a nod to the Limited Edition which will be made globally available on the 1st June.

For those who cannot make the annual pilgrimage to their favourite Islay distillery, ‘Ardbeg Day’ parties are organised around the world, from San Francisco to Sydney.

On 1st June 2013, Ardbog comes to London:

10.00am The Ardbog Day march begins at Monument station, led by the Ardbeg chopper and tractor and accompanied by a flock of flying sheep. Ardbeg ambassadors will lead the singing along the way.

11.00am Arrive at Potters Field Park for a day of Ardbeg fun and games. Ardbeg fans can expect events involving live sheep, peat digging for prizes, live music from Sophie Sweet & Her November Criminals (voted for by Ardbeg Facebook fans) and welly tossing! And of course, Ardbog day wouldn't be complete without a dram of Ardbeg and our new limited edition Ardbog.

The event is open to all and there will be games and food, it is not restricted to over 18's. However there will be signs highlighting that alcohol is being served during the event but that it will not be served to people who are underage.
