Alexandre Da Costa (Violin)
Henry Goodman (Actor)

On June 11th the leading Canadian violinist Alexandre Da Costa will be joined by the great British actor Henry Goodman for the world premiere of a new show - part concert, part spoken word - Lorca's Songs. It charts the fused, fascinating history of Spanish music and Spanish poetry. Da Costa, one of the world's finest musicians, is also one of the greatest exponents of Spanish music and in the course of the show will play showpieces by the master composers such as Sarasate, De Falla and Albeniz.

Alongside him will be one of the UK's most acclaimed actors, Henry Goodman - fresh from starring in The Winslow Boy at the Old Vic in the West End. Henry will be best-known to many from memorable cameos in films such as Notting Hill, and his current starring role as Sir Humphrey Appleby in the new television series of Yes, Prime Minister.

Devised by Da Costa and former Gramophone editor James Inverne, this heady evening for violin, guitar and actor takes the audience on an unforgettable journey through the sensual and sometimes tragic fused history of Spanish music and poetry.
