The Nordicana Show is a unique event, which will bring the enthusiastic and dedicated fans of Nordic Noir’s superlative TV shows, films and crime novels together for a weekend celebration in association with Arrow Films’ Nordic Noir label the leading UK distributor of TV Nordic Noir on DVD and Blu-ray.

The setting for this event is The Farmiloe Building in Clerkenwell. Over 3 floors of this elegant and striking former Victorian glassworks, The Nordicana Show will showcase the best of Nordic entertainment for the delight of UK Scandi-philes.

Speaker Events/Signings
The Nordicana Show is pleased to welcome the stars, the creators and the fans of ‘Nordic Noir’ for a series of speaker events over the two days [confirmed to date]:
Jan Arnald (pen name Arne Dahl) will be joined for an audience Q&A, hosted by Barry Forshaw, with the actors Malin Arvidsson, Shanti Roney, Matias Varela, Claes Ljungmark and Magnus Samuelsson from the TV series Arne Dahl who have brought his characters to life; the creator of Borgen, Adam Price, will be taking part in a ‘Dramatising Politics’ panel discussion, hosted by the global literary network English Pen and The Free Word Centre alongside Jeppe Gjervig Gram (writer, Borgen) Ingolf Gabold (former head of tv-drama, DR, and the man who made Danish TV drama a success), Jesper W. Nielsen (director, Borgen), Lone Theils (London correspondent of Politiken), Paula Milne (writer The Politician’s Husband, Channel 4), Kath Mattock (script editor, producer of BAFTA-winning ‘Murder’ with Birger Larsen, BBC 2); the best-selling crime author David Hewson presents ‘Deconstructing The Killing’ based on his experience of turning 20 hours of television into one brilliant and compelling novelisation; and the award-winning crime novelist Ann Cleeves, presents an exclusive insight in to the Shetland series of novels and their Nordic influences. All our Scandi guests will also be signing books and DVDs.

Screenings
There will be three big screens on the ground, first and second floors showing exclusive episodes from new and continuing Nordic Noir TV series along with brand new and recently released films all day Saturday & Sunday.

Food & Drink
A range of delicious and authentic Scandinavian food will be served courtesy of ScandiKitchen, the UK’s leading specialist Scandinavian food outlet. Liquid refreshment can be taken at the Briska Cider Bar plus a cocktail or two from Reyka Vodka.

Shopping
For those who love to shop at the weekends, The Nordicana Show will feature a market place with retail stands for Scandinavian designs, products and information, Nordicana merchandise, exclusive DVD and book offers.

Kids Marquee
Children [under 16] go free, as long as an adult accompanies them, and for younger children there will be plenty of activities throughout the weekend in the Kids Marquee on the ground floor. NB. Entrance to the screenings is restricted according to the BBFC certificate for each film/episode.
