Grand Union Gig Guide and Grand Union Promotions are proud to bring you the inaugural Grand Union Songwriter’s Evening which will take place on Sunday 10th November 2013 at Bush Hall in London. The event will showcase four extremely talented British country music singer/songwriters – Raintown, Gary Quinn, Jeannine Barry and Hannah Jane Lewis.

Scottish country music duo Raintown are riding a wave of success. Recently nominated in two categories at this year British Country Music Awards, they made history as the first ever Scottish act invited to play the CMA Global Artist Party at CMA Fest 2011 in Nashville and recently performed on the pop-up stages at the Country to Country Festival in the London O2 Arena. Their multi-award winning debut album, 'Hope in Troubled Times' was warmly received by fans and industry alike and are currently working on their second album.

“Raintown are just what the UK country scene needs. They are one of the few UK artists whose music can be played seamlessly alongside the big Nashville-produced country hits of today.” (Allan Watkiss- CMA International Broadcaster 2010 (BBC Radio/UK Country Radio)

Gary Quinn is becoming an increasingly better known name in British country music. His latest EP 'This Cowboy’s Heart' can be heard on radio stations across the UK and Europe and he is poised to release a full-length album in July. Over the past few years Gary has opened for many top US artists as well as playing several music festivals including the Belfast Nashville Songwriter’s Festival and the recent CMA Songwriters Series.

After performing with Gary in February, Kristian Bush (of Country Super Group - Sugarland) commented "He's wonderful, he's really good, I think he's probably only a couple of breaks away from getting what he's looking for."

"I can only see great things in future for Gary Quinn, his album is a first class collection from an emerging British talent" B J Thomas (Up Country Magazine)

London based Country/Pop singer Jeannine Barry is currently working on her first EP to be released in August 2013. She performs all across London and has various shows lined up in Canada for July in collaboration with the Canadian Country artist Ryan Kennedy. Jeannine has been working with the American vocal coach David Lee Brewer for 5 years now who has trained artists such as Beyonce Knowles and he is convinced Jeannine will make it far in the Country music world. We can also look forward to hearing new and even more country sounding material very soon as Jeannine is now also working with a Singer/Songwriter called Jessie McPherson from Michigan. Jeannine has a unique sound and is dedicated to making Country music more popular and respected in the UK. We can be sure to hear a lot more from her soon.

Hannah Jane Lewis is a new artist but already has a large fan base. She is perhaps best known through her Youtube channel which includes covers of current country music hits and also recordings of her own songs. She is already an accomplished songwriter and is working towards releasing music as well as playing many gigs throughout the UK.
