This concert marks the release of the CD ‘Deutsche Motette : German Romantic Choral Music from Schubert to Strauss’
on Delphian Records, and the centenary of the completion of Strauss’s motet on 22nd June 1913.

“Delphian’s superchoir reunites for a programme of German Romantic music. Strauss’s sumptuous Deutsche Motette is the last word in late Romantic choral opulence, its teeming polyphony brought to thrilling life by this virtuoso cast of choirs and soloists.”
