London Ride+Stride

The capital is playing host to its first large-scale Ride+Stride event this September and Londoners are being urged to get on their bikes or put their best foot forward and raise much needed funds for this great cause.

The event takes place on Sat 14 September from 10 – 5 and funds raised will be split equally between the participant’s nominated place of worship and the Heritage of London Trust.

It is being organised by Heritage of London Trust, established in 1980, is the only building preservation trust to cover all of London. HOLT is dedicated to supporting the protection and regeneration of London’s historic buildings so that they can be used and enjoyed by local communities and charitable groups. The Trust promotes this work through grants towards repairs and restoration work.

Walkers and cyclists follow their chosen route between places of worship which open for the day. The less energetic can also take part as many of these buildings are on major public transport routes. Participants are free to choose whatever route and distance suits them.
