The Sing For Joy choir will be singing at St Pancras International station on Wednesday 26 June 2013 at 5pm. The choir, which is made up of people with Parkinson’s disease and those who care for someone with the illness will perform on the main concourse for the second year running at 5pm.
For its members – which include carers and friends - the choir is much more than a fun social event: the breathing techniques, stretching and confidence the choir teaches is great therapy, and its aim is to spread joy in the community and to make everyone that hears its music feel uplifted. The choir’s teacher, Carol Grimes, is one of the UK’s top professional jazz performers.
