Grand Union Take Over World Music & Jazz Worshops

Join Grand Union Second Generation Musicians for a series of world-music and jazz workshops where you’ll create new music and have the chance to perform with Grand Union Youth Orchestra.

This three day workshop programme is open to young people aged 12-21 who play western and non-Western instruments. Whether you play sax, violin, tabla, or djembe, bring along your instrument and explore the world’s major musical cultures, discover new instruments, develop improvisation skills and meet and create with like-minded young musicians.

Participants attending the workshops are invited to perform alongside the Grand Union Youth Orchestra and deep:black's The Take Over Showcase on Friday 23rd August as part of the Rich Mix Youth Take Over programme.

(Please note you must attend at least 2 workshops and be available for rehearsal on Friday 23rd June from 2pm - 6pm to be involved in performance.)
