Live Jazz Chelsea - Lee Mead. Whilst performing in The Phantom of the Opera, Lee Mead auditioned for the BBC series Any Dream Will Do to play Joseph. Mead was selected as one of the Top 20 finalists, and eventually won the role nine weeks later. Booking for Joseph was so fast that on 3 July 2007 when the first three months were sold out the producers extended the show's run and Mead's contract until 7 June 2008.

On 12 June 2007, Mead released "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door" by download. Five days later, the songs entered the UK Singles Download Chart at No. 18. Six days after that, the songs peaked at No. 2. The proceeds from the songs went to the BBC's annualChildren in Need charity appeal. Lee released his first album Lee Mead in 2007 and his second album Nothing Else Matters in 2009.

At the BBCs London regional website Mark Shenton said of Lee with a resonant voice that's reminiscent of a young Michael Ball, he's pitch-perfect, too.' For the BBC Breakfast show's reviewer Mead was "a star". Mead is in excellent form vocally, wrote The Stage's Lisa Martland. For the Daily Expresss Paul Callan, Mead's voice is clear, firm and convincing...

His special guest will be the lovely Ashleigh Gray who is best known for her starring role in Wicked she also sang with Lee during his West End Men run recently.

Lee has secured the services of Will Stuart who is a terrific young West End musical pianist, arranger and MD to play piano for him at the Pheasantry.

His 2012 History of the Big Bands Tour saw him enthral audiences all over the country, performing soul and big band classics accompanied by a 13 piece band. Showing his true versatility and flair for the stage, Andy has embarked on a string of pantomime performances in Weymouths Jack and the Beanstalk and 2013 brings with it the exciting, nationwide Boogie Nights Tour, complete with a star studded cast and promising plenty of 70s musical fun.
