Pastry Network, a professional pastry chef's association in the UK, is holding a cocktail style charity afternoon tea in aid of Make-A-Wish Foundation UK at The Park Lane Hotel on Monday, 30th September.

In September 2011, Pastry Network held its first cocktail style charity afternoon tea and raised about £11K for a Japanese charitable organisation who provides support to orphans from the North East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

This year we plan on donating all proceeds to Make A Wish Foundation UK who grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

The cocktail style afternoon tea will be prepared by pastry chefs from highly regarded establishments in the UK including The Langham Hotel, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, Laduree, The Wolseley and the Manoir aux Quat’saisons to name only a few. It will showcase the skills of pastry chefs, bakers and chocolatiers. Our guests are offered champagne / tea / coffee, bite sized canapés, sandwiches in “pain surprise”, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, pastries and chocolates. This is a rare opportunity to sample a variety of first class delicacies from so many different restaurants, pastry shops and hotels at once- heaven for the pastry lover!

Tickets can be bought via the Pastry Network website (www.pastry-network.com). They are £55 per person and available from the 15th July. Raffle tickets will be sold on the day and the prizes include a Viennese afternoon tea for two at The Delaunay, a voucher for Taste of Le Cordon Bleu course, a voucher for two at Pierre Koffmann restaurant and many more.

Dress code is smart casual. We regret that we cannot accommodate children under 12 years old. For further details of the event, please visit the Pastry Network website.
