Colin Oxley's 'Unit 4'

A multi-award-winning guitarist, Colin is a gentle player, whose fluid style and relaxed, “laid-back” approach make for a wonderfully enjoyable night. His work with singer Stacey Kent has led to Colin being recognised around the globe as a world-class player and one of the finest guitarists ever to come from the UK. Amongst his numerous gigs he includes regular work at New York’s famous Algonquin Hotel, appearances at the Montreux and North Sea Jazz Festivals and work with the likes of Scott Hamilton and Harry Allen. Tonight Colin will be performing with “Unit 4”, a band that also features the brilliant Graham Harvey (Stacey Kent, Hamish Stuart) on piano and one of the most experienced straight ahead rhythm sections on the scene, Jeremy Brown (BBC Big Band, Stacey Kent) on bass and Matt Skelton (Jim Mullen, Stacey Kent) on drums. A beautiful gig from masters of Jazz improvisation.
