Steve Brookstein

Steve Brookstein is the classic example of an “overnight success” after more than 20 years in the music business. This high profile soul singer became the first ever winner of The X Factor in 2004 and went on to have a UK number one album and single before breaking away from pop-svengali Simon Cowell. Steve has duetted with multi-Grammy winner Bebe Winans and toured with Olivier award winning Musical “Our House” as well as co-writing/producing Eileen Hunter’s debut album, signed to Jazz FM in 2010. Steve is currently working on his first album for 7 years which will, as it says in the title, feature him performing some of the Soul “Classics”, a number of which he performed on his last, excellent, gig here. The gig tonight will feature Steve’s great band who are also featured on the recording, Emmanuel Waldron on piano, Luca Boscagin on guitar, Clint Williams on bass and Julien Brown on drums - plus expect some brilliant Guest vocals from the wonderful singer/pianist Eileen Hunter (Mrs Brookstein!). Great songs, wonderful band and fine singer.
