This celebratory carnival and street art event features a beautiful programme of traditional and modern Latin American music and dance performances and workshops. The whole space will be visually spectacular, transforming the park with flower sculptures and shields made by members of the local community. This unique floral magic will be accompanied by dancers and drummers creating a real sense of Latin America.

Featuring:

Clave Latina – A dance group that has grown over the past three years to represent the young Latin American community.

Carlos Paúl - One of the most successful Latino artists in his genre living in the UK. In 2009 his album "Hablame" ("Talk to me") won the Best Latin Album at the GSD and Latin Music Awards. In 2011 he a Best Male Voice and Best Music Video for the song ‘La Descarga’ (‘The Download’). His latest achievement is winning the song-writing competition Next Up 2013 and he is currently recording his international debut album ‘Todo Es Posible’ (‘Everything Is Possible’).

Angélica López - Angelica has been winning over audiences with her gift of storytelling through song from the folklore of her homeland, Colombia. Currently involved in different projects such as Papayera, Penya , Salseology and many others, she has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Womad, House of Commons, O2 Shepherds Bush, The O2 Arena, Barbican and Latin American Festivals Carnaval del Pueblo, Birmingham Festival, Thames Festival and many others.

Latino Sound - A fusion band making a mix of traditional Latin rhythms with modern styles incorporating funk, rock and house.
