“Powerful, funny, magical and a bit sad” is how Tom Cameron described the latest TomTom show – moments before he started to write it.
Tom delights in creating raucous worlds where characters from classical literature, soap opera and real life meet, drink champagne and embark on messy love affairs. Tom Bowtell works alongside him, asking questions and trying to make sure there aren’t too many monkeys. The Director's Experiment sees Tom C step into the role of director for the first time as he and Tom B work with a cast of local performers to bring the latest TomTom script to life. This Scratch is the result of 17 hours of experiments and fans of Michael Caine and talking footballs will not be disappointed.
Developed at Battersea Arts Centre.
“Tom Cameron is a genius, a heart on legs, who plays life as he sees it and is inspiring to be around. He's one of the most 'at ease' performers I've had the pleasure of working with. TomTom is a fantastic developing format masquerading as a double-act.”
