Kreutzer Quartet

The members of the pioneering Kreutzer Quartet are the dedicatee of countless new works by composers including Michael Finnissy, David Matthews, Judith Weir, Judith Bingham, Poul Ruders, Robert Saxton, Jorg Widmann, Hans Werner Henze, George Rochberg, and many others. The quartet have recorded cycles of works by Matthews, Elliott Schwartz, Michael Tippett, Roberto Gerhard and Jeremy Dale Roberts, to name just a few. Although the quartet is in demand at major festivals from the Venice Biennale to the Bergen Festpillerne, Wilton's Music Hall is the heart of their activity. Over the past few years they have relished the opportunity to work in its wonderful acoustic and to develop and uniquely lively relationship with the audience there, and have developed an eclectic programming style in response to this unique venue.
