The Roundhouse’s emerging talent arm continues its series of monthly events in the venue’s intimate Studio Theatre space. Programmed by young promoters, Roundhouse Rising presents is a collection of eclectic music nights featuring the best in new music.

On Saturday 24 August Camden Crash will bring the Notting Hill carnival vibes to the capital a day early as part of a whole day of activity at the Roundhouse for Summer Rising. Featuring live music from Electric Jalaba, Tempting Rosie and visuals from EYESONTHEWALL, the night promises high energy and positive vibes from 7.30pm-11pm, making it the perfect warm-up for Notting Hill.

One of London’s most eclectic emerging acts, headliners Electric Jalaba fuse the electronic groove of multi-instrumental Soundspecies and the high energy talent and colourful performance of Moroccan Gnawa Master musician Simo Lagnawi. Their live set has inexhaustible energy, moments of soulful calm and pinnacles of ecstatic mayhem, all weaved amongst enormous infectious grooves, analogue effects and warped guitars. Expect crowd participation antics and be prepared to hop, skip and 2-step to the beat of this African electronica barndance.

Electric Jalaba are joined by Tempting Rosie - an 8-strong trumpet-waving, ass-kicking Reggae band from Birmingham. Bringing a lively mash-up of ska, dub and rap with a sprinkling of pop goodness thrown in, Tempting Rosie supply the good vibes to warm you up for Carnival, with a unique sound that sets feet tapping and hands clapping.

Complementing the music will be EYESONTHEWALL's mesmerising video artwork, making the night an audiovisual explosion of carnival vibes.
