Gerry Cottle's Circus

It is just over 50 years since Gerry Cottle completed that age-old adage and ran away and joined the circus, swapping his suburban London home for a caravan & his schoolbooks for a set of juggling clubs. He soon excelled and expanded his repertoire to include stilt walking, bareback horse riding, fire eating, clowning & even a became a crocodile trainer, as explained in his recent biography ‘Confessions of a Showman – My life in the circus’.

Gerry quickly grew to become Britain’s biggest & best-known circus with it’s many Film & TV appearances, especially the highly successful Saturday night spectacular ‘Seaside Special’.

Gerry Cottles Circus not only toured all over the UK but also in Ireland, the Far East, The Middle East, South America Europe & even Iceland, becoming the most widely traveled British circus in history.
