AmaZonArt would like to invite all of you to our upcoming fundraising concert, part of our monthly concert series, this time raising money for AMISTAD, a Mexican-British organisation helping the desperate and needy people of Mexico.

One of our volunteers, Rachel Hayter, who is currently working in the Amazon region, will be back in London just in time to perform with the AmaZonArt Ensemble and share her incredible experiences from her time in Brazil.

Programme to include: String Quartet by Franz Schubert, original guitar music by Jaime Zenamon and traditional 'Choros' by the likes of Pixinguinha & Bandolim. We will also have newly written works composed and performed by talented young Italian guitarist Costanza Casullo.

AmaZonArt is a non-profit organisation established in London in 2009 by the Brazilian cellist Diego Carneiro. It was set up to provide free musical education to children and young people in poor and deprived parts of the Amazon region of Brazil. Among other awards, AmaZonArt has recently been announced winner at the Brazilian International Press Awards UK 2013, in the category of Institutions promoting Brazilian Culture. The award ceremony will be on September 21st, 7pm, at the Brazilian Embassy in London.

Our work also reaches other countries in Latin America: the Cello and Piano duo Eralys x Diego will be doing workshops and concerts in Havana, Cuba, 7-14 September, and around Mexico, 23-29 September.
