ArchWay With Words (AWWW) literary festival is a brand new spectacular 8 day event full of intriguing things to see, hear, read, write and do based in Archway, North London from 21st – 28th September 2013. There’s a glittering line-up of superstar authors and wordsmiths, who between them have – literally- sold millions of books, won shelves-full of awards and entertained people all over the world.

This celebration of North London and its literary merit - there is a huge density of authors living in the area - will see over 30 authors and writers participating and performing in various venues around Archway, forever changing the way people think about this area. The wonderful line up includes the likes of Tracy Chevalier, Bill Patterson, Jah Wobble, Paul Morley, Charlie Higson, Caitlin Davies, Gabriel Gbadamosi, Charlotte Mendelson, Joanna Briscoe, John Hegley, Tim Wells, Michaela Coel to name but a few.

The extensive range of author sessions and interactive projects will take place in an eclectic array of venues - in churches, pubs, shops, on the streets and online - and will include talks and readings, free activities for children, a poetry slam, storytelling, spoken word sessions. an Alice in Wonderland themed street market, a 2nd hand book fair, oral history project, displays in shops and businesses and even a Wuthering Heights flashmob singalong!

AWWW is offering great value for money, with many events for children free and most sessions only £5 for two authors - Buy One Author Get An Author Free!

Stephanie Smith, Festival Director, says; 'Archway is an interesting place with all sorts of goings -on and friendly, neighbourly people. I hope the festival will knit it together for a week and show that despite its former gloomy reputation there's an abundance of good reasons to visit and that it's a terrific setting for a story...’
