All-American Block Party

Roll up, roll up. 28 September marks another exciting traffic-free day* on Regent Street this year as we're hosting an all-American Block Party. That's right. In celebration of the American Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers taking place at Wembley on the 29th, we're clearing the street of traffic and welcoming all those in favour of stars and stripes.

American football fans will be happy to learn that the players from the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers will be taking time out from their preparations for the following day’s showdown at Wembley Stadium to celebrate with their fans on Regent Street! So head on down for a slice of the American action.

Alistair Kirkwood, managing director of NFLUK, said: “We are really looking forward to giving visitors to Regent Street the opportunity to sample the excitement and razzmatazz of the NFL. The range of activities planned will offer something for everyone; whether a die-hard NFL fan or those who are simply looking for a fun day out or are curious to find out a little bit more about the sport.”

The day will be packed full of fun events and experiences for shoppers visiting the street. Featuring live music, DJs, team areas, mascots, drumlines, NFL sporting challenges, American inspired foods, cheerleaders and player appearances from the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers and much more. Regent Street goes all American for one day only.

Visitors can also just come and shop; retailers and restaurants will be offering discounts, gifts with purchase, special promotions and competitions to celebrate the occasion.
