Upholstery Beginners - 10 Week Course

An introduction into upholstery where you learn traditional upholstery techniques using materials from tacks to webbing to horse hair and natural fibres. Ideally you would bring with you a drop in seat or a small foot stool. At the workshop you will learn how to peel back the layers of the old upholstery to the frame - revealing the techniques which were originally used and re-build the item using tradional upholstery techniques. Materials used during the course will be provided, some basic tools will also be provided with the option to purchase more during the course. You will learn the various different techniques and use some of these methods to re-upholster the item of furniture you bring to the course.
