Laugh Out London comedy club returns to Angel, Islington, after another sell-out show.
This November, we feature writer of Dead Boss, 2011 Fringe Best Newcomer nominee and star of numerous panel shows and CBBC, Holly Walsh.
Line-up:
HOLLY WALSH
She co-wrote BBC's murderously funny Dead Boss and picked up a Best Newcomer nomination for her hugely successful debut Edinburgh Fringe show the HollyCopter, which told the story of how she recovered after breaking her arm doing a stunt for CBBC.
Holly is also a regular on the panel show circuit, appearing on Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcock's, 8 out of 10 Cats, You Have Been Watching, Would I Lie To You and the Matt Lucas Awards among other appearances.
"chirpy charm" **** - The Independent
"genuinely endearing" **** - Fest
AISLING BEA
Nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe 2013 and a So You Think You're Funny victory in 2012, Aisling's star is well on the rise.
TV appearances include BBC's Dead Boss, E4′s Cardinal Burns, ITV's The Town and CBBC's Fit alongside Peter Serafinowicz, Sara Pascoe and Humphrey Ker.
"A hugely accomplished debut" ***** - The Independent
"born comedian" **** - Chortle
"she's got being funny in the bag" **** - The Guardian
MAX AND IVAN
Another act with a hugely successful Fringe this year, the duo picked up a Best Show nomination for their narrative-focused sketch/character effort The Reunion.
They've had previous Fringe success too, picking up the Panel Prize in 2011 for their anarchic creation the Wrestling, whcih involved comedians and wrestling facing each other in the ring. With hilarious consequences. And a broken ankle for Max.
"Max and Ivan are the real deal" **** - The Guardian
"Ingeniously plotted and zingily executed" **** - The Independent
"a feelgood hour of knockabout fun that packs an sentimental punch" **** - Chortle
MATTHEW CROSBY
One third of sketch favourites and Edinburgh Fringe Best Show nominees 2012 Pappy's who have just starred in their own BBC show Badults. He's also a rather nifty stand-up in his own right.
Away from Pappy's he's appeard on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Animal Antics and taken his show Adventure Party to the Fringe in 2011.
"who else is going to have a front row littered with nerds and geeks?" **** - The List
