Renaissance Hotels invites you to join them in welcoming five brilliant and talented women as they gather at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel for the one-off 5x15 RLife LIVE event on November 28 to deliver an inspiring commentary on the subject of women’s history and the influential female figures that shaped its course.

As part of their global entertainment programme, RLife LIVE, Renaissance Hotels has teamed up for the first time with 5x15 who are responsible for passed events including the likes of Jo Brand, Jon Ronson, Camilla Batmanghelidja and Louis de Bernières.

Aptly held in the hotel’s luxurious and history-steeped Ladies’ Smoking Room – the first in London allocated for women to smoke in public – the event sees each speaker given 15 minutes to tell of their inspirations, passions and backgrounds that lie in a fascinating range of subjects such as poetry, literature, polar adventure and politics.

Olivia Laing is a writer, critic and former Deputy Literary Editor of The Observer, and will be speaking on ‘Dangerous Subjects’.

Laura Dockrill is a performance poet, illustrator and writer who will speak on Darcy Burdock.

Lucinda Hawksley is a biographer, author, lecturer and great-great-great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens who will be speaking on Pricess Louise and Other Extraordinary Women.

Frances Osborne, the best-selling author of The Bolter will comment on Women in WW1.

Sarah Wheeler is a travel author and biographer noted for her accounts of her Arctic and Antarctic journeys, and she will be addressing the subject of pioneering female writers in America.
