Since 2007, the Rooster 8.1 has been a new class of sailing rig, designed to be compatible with the popular Laser ® hull, but offering amazing performance. Steve Cockerill, Rooster 8.1 Class National Champion explained “Go large, Go 8.1! The Rooster 8.1 is a monster rig, which is perfectly suited to conditions on a River. It offers exciting close racing. Sailing on the Thames is certainly going to be a spectacle that should not be missed”.

Andre Gareh, Commodore of LCSC commented “We are really excited to be holding the Rooster 8.1 Nationals at LCSC. Sailing is a far more accessible sport than people realise. Hosting the Roosters here at Hammersmith showcases how easy it is to sail at all levels, even in the centre of London”

Non-competitors will be able to watch the racing from the towpath and enjoy the hospitality of the LCSC clubhouse.

LCSC will also be hosting an Open Day 11.00-15.00 on Saturday 2nd November for anyone interested in finding out about competitive and recreational sailing in London.
