A Joke Too Far; Stand Up for Burma

Islington and Hackney Amnesty Group's comedy night returns for the fifth year running with another cracking night of live stand-up comedy to raise awareness of Amnesty's Burma campaigns and brighten up an otherwise dull November evening.

And once again - the ENTIRE entry fee goes directly to Amnesty International, with all comedians, organisers and the venue giving their time for free.

This year's stellar line up features:

Richard Herring
Richard Herring has been at the forefront of British comedy since he came to prominence in the 1990s with then partner Stewart Lee in their hugely influential Fist of Fun TV show. Very much a comedy renaissance man, Herring's output is incredible - not only is he a celebrated stand-up but he's a podcaster, blogger, newspaper columnist, author and writer. During the 2000s, Herring toured with a new stand-up show almost every year, and is currently touring his tenth consecutive stand up show We're All Going To Die!

Alexis Dubus
Along with his alter ego Marcel Luconte, Alexis has been delighting audiences on the comedy circuit since debuting at Edinburgh Fringe in 1999, and more recently has featured on BBC3's Russell Howard's Good News, Pramface and Live at the Electric. Alexis has won a host of awards at Edinburgh Fringe including a Spank! Award - Best Headliner 2010, Underbelly and Amused Moose Comedy Award - Best Comedy Show 2012.

Luisa Omielan
Luisa was the underground smash hit at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012 where she performed her 5 Star, critically acclaimed, debut solo show What Would Beyonce Do?!. After a sell-out run at The Comedy Cafe she performed an extended run at Soho Theatre - extended four times. Luisa then took her show back to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013 to similar acclaim.

Naz Osmanoglu
Fresh from performing his new show 'Ottoman Without An Empire' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Naz Osmanoglu is one of the most exciting up and coming comics on the circuit.

Harriet Kemsley
Harriet is a quirky, very funny stand-up who won 2011's Funny's Funny competition and reached the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year final in 2012.
