DISNEY STORE BRINGS CHRISTMAS JOY TO THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN THROUGH CHARITY CAMPAIGN
Stores across UK and Ireland partner with local children’s charities to donate soft toys.
The Share in the Magic campaign invites families to post their own Letter to Santa at Disney Stores across the country and online at disneystore.co.uk and for every letter that is posted in-store or online Disney Store will donate a soft toy to children through a variety of local charities.
This year, 40 children’s charities have been nominated in the UK and Ireland, each of whom works in close collaboration with their local Disney Store and will receive the soft toy donations through the Letter to Santa activity.
The Oxford Street store will be donating soft toys to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
The Letter to Santa activity is one of a number of fun and free family activities that take place throughout the year in Disney Stores. These activities help provide special and memorable moments and experiences for families to share.
Disney has supported Great Ormond Street Hospital over many years, with Walt Disney first visiting the hospital in 1951. The partnership with the hospital’s charity was formalised in early 2008 with a commitment to raise £10 million towards the hospital’s redevelopment. This partnership has enabled Disney to lend financial support to the redevelopment as well as offering unique and memorable Disney experiences to the patients and families at the hospital.
