Concert Guitarist Richard Durrant with special guest Howard Beach

Richard Durrant, known widely as the Guitar Whisperer, is a world class virtuoso with an imaginative flair for presentation and a warm, easy rapport that has endeared him to audiences in the UK, Europe and South America. Unusually, for a concert guitarist, he performs standing up and his shows use beautiful, projected images.

Durrant’s 2014 UK tour is packed full of stories and music. The guitar is a chameleon, especially in these capable hands - one reason why Richard is often spoken of as the greatest guitarist of his generation.

For this concert Richard is joined by keyboard virtuoso Howard Beach, the original keyboard player in Red Priest, for Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto arranged for guitar & harpsichord and Rodrigo’s Concierto di Aranjuez, arranged for guitar & piano. The Rodrigo, the most popular concerto of the 20th century, is given new life by these two remarkable performers.
