After a great party and another packed Fiddlers in December here come the opening party on 2014.

Again two top ska bands and two vintage jamaican vinyl selectors.

Bands:
The Sarah Connors, The Skamonics.

At the crossroads of Early Reggae, Garage, Soul and Funk, The Sarah Connors, dance-halls freedom fighters, issue the “Dirty Jamaican Rock & Roll”. Heirs of 60's and 70's Boss sounds, they mix genres. As if Toots met The Jam and Betty Davis would go beat up the Ramones.
Their explosive live performances have led them all around France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. They shared the stage with bands such as Max Romeo, The Aggrolites, The Lords of Altamont, The Skints & The Slackers.

They just released their second album: "The Revenge Of The Black Squid" and they feature in several compilations. The fight against the machines continues. One thing's for sure, the Cyborgs are not about to achieve their big takeover...

The Skamonics
The Skamonics are a London based ska band, playing a unique mix of authentic 60s ska, rock steady, two-tone and completely unexpected covers.

Jazzy ska from its 60s roots and bonkers covers
Imagine Miles Davis jamming with the Specials or if Kylie had been from Kingston, Jamaica …

A driving rhythm section provides a firm foundation for three blazing horns and a top female vocalist, blasting out a wide repertoire of not just ska, two-tone and rock steady favourites but tunes given a ska treatment for the very first time.

Made up of musicians with roots in ska, jazz, blues and soul, the Skamonics have been together since 2004.

“The coolest, most age and clique smashing sound I have ever heard”

Resident DJs:
BELFAST ERIC has been making Dumplins crowds skank as far back as 2011 and his boss reggae, ska and rocksteady tunes are second to none.
