Birth of Joy play an exclusive live London showcase on Friday 28th March, to celebrate their new album at the Price of Wales in Brixton.

After 97 shows in 2013 all over Europe and USA, Dutch psychedelic rockers BIRTH OF JOY have already proven to be a true LIVE rock sensation! Besides creating catchy psychedelic 60/70’s-hooks spiced up with stoner, blues and rock & roll influences, this threesome is also master in invoking a primal emotion that lays hidden in many of us. The kind of emotion that craves to burst out when you experience something true, something real. Well, these guys are it, they ARE the real deal: sex, drugs and rock&roll! Blood, sweat and… ah, mostly alcohol!

New Album: Early November the band finished recordings for their second official album. JORIS WOLFF is behind the knobs (e.g. De Staat, Within Temptation and Mister and Mississippi) and mastering is done by BRIAN LUCEY (e.g. The Black Keys, Artic Monkeys, David Lynch and Dr. John).

Release Dates: For the new album BOJ signed a worldwide deal with LONG BRANCH RECORDS (e.g. Everlast, Prong and Chimaira), a label from SPV GmbH. For France and Japan the band signed with MODULOR/GRAND PALAIS, and SUBURBAN RECORDS takes care of the Benelux. The new album will be released in Benelux on February 1st and in all other countries in March.

European Tour: Birth Of Joy starts 2014 with 2 shows at EUROSONIC NOORDERSLAG and goes on to do an extensive European clubtour from February to May. In February the band plays Dutch and Belgian venues, in March USA, UK and Switserland will be visited, in April France and Germany and in May Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Quite a schedule, but yeah, touring is what these guys do best! From half May on the band will be trashing the summer festivals of course! All dates will be announced asap!
