Join us to find out about these elusive birds and the work happening in the Lee Valley to conserve them. We may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of an elusive Bittern coming into roost in the reed beds from the comfort of the Bittern Information Point.
This event is run as a part of the Hertfordshire Bittern Action Plan. Events like this are taking place across the county to promote Bitterns and their conservation.
No experience of bird watching is needed; please bring binoculars if you have them. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to point out the birds.
People should be advised to wrap up well – it can get chilly and there will be a certain amount of waiting around in the hide!
