Croydon Roller Derby - Fresh Meat Try-outs

Are you a keen skater? Are you looking to transfer leagues? Do you want to be a referee?

Come along and try out for Croydon Roller Derby on Sunday 19th January!

Croydon Roller Derby have spent most of 2013 in the top 30 of the European Roller Derby Rankings and have been defeated only once this year against all female teams we've played! We've now got two strong and established teams and 2014 is looking like a real belter for fixtures! If you want to be involved you need to read on!

We'll be hosting a try out session for those interested in taking up the intense sport of Roller Derby. Or if you're already a league member and need to transfer due to relocation etc.

Where possible we're looking for skaters with some skating experience to ensure you're pick up the assessable skills for roller derby>

Essential skills we'll be looking for:

- Confident skater
- Able to accelerate
- Stopping skills
- able to turn on your skates with some confidence

Desirable but not essential:

-Able to skate backwards


If you think you've got the dedication, skills and desire to be part of a rapidly growing league and world wide sport come along and show us what you've got!

We will be able to provide kit for those of you who will need it on the 19th.
