If the journey to heaven is a game of hopscotch, with each throw of a stone the journey changes and a new story is made. The city is a kaleidoscope of stories. It is a glassy, sky-high, bitterscape of dreams, where lives are entangled, realities skewed and heaven is bent like the curve of a fish bowl.

Into this bowl, the fractured remnants of two families are placed – the semblance of a father, the resemblance of a daughter, two mothers and a stranger – whose lives are caught in infinite reflections of each other.

And us, the spectators - are we fish? Or fishermen? Will we bite or reel? Or will we simply sink deeper into the comfort of our easy chair? Hoping the shadows that pass quietly underneath will not emerge to engulf us. If we stare hard enough at the patterns criss-crossing below, life’s lacerated spaces begin to unravel. From there it’s just two hops to heaven, or a leap to hell…

Jacqueline le Poisson & an all-singing, all-dancing Prawn Cocktail Chorus introduce an evening of oceanic rumination and kitchen sinks, on a journey you choose. Doppelgangers, puppetry, and a multiverse of perspectives, ‘it’s a different story every night’ takes on new meaning. All set to the live, original and sometimes improvised musical waves of the Happy Fisherman.
