New Zealand born, London-based Thom Cross performs at The Bedford in support of his new single ‘Heavy Sea’, due for release on 3rd March 2014.

In an era when classic songwriting is hard to come by, London-based solo artist Thom Cross is taking the best parts of influences as diverse as Smashing Pumpkins, The Police and Sigur Ros, and turning them into something that top music blog Risk and Consequence calls a “text book example” of modern pop.

Mixed by Grammy Award winning Guy Massey (The Coral, Manic Street Preachers) Heavy Sea is a quintessential pop song blending influences from electronica and rock with a singalong melody. With an array of influences across genres, Cross’ vocal, reminiscent of U2’s Bono carries the song from a simple beginning to a soaring chorus.
