On Thursday 20th February, TailSpin presents a pulse-quickening, funny-bone tickling, imagination prickling evening of stories and live music.

Multiplicity with Ragnhild Mørch
It began in the beginning. The child was born between two dates. Precisely at 00:00:00. Excuse me, asked the Physician, which date would you like as the birth date ? Either Or is okay. Next came choice of nationality : excuse us, asked Bureaucracy, which passport would you like ? You can’t have both. Thereafter followed the rest : Mother or Father Tongue, Urban or Rural, Him or Her, Here or There ? Excuse me, but you’d better define yourself!

For Ragnhild A. Mørch all roads led into storytelling. Even a long career in theatre directing and producing had to give way for the traditional telling of stories. Whether fairytales or myths, legends or sagas, historical events or personal anecdotes, anything goes. She is Artistic Course Manager of the storytelling programme at the University of Arts Berlin and tells stories in German, Norwegian and/or English.

Music from Ruby Theodore & Her Howlin' Boys - playing songs of the 1920's - 40's swing era with heartfelt authenticity. The band serve up the speakeasy spirit with a mix of jazz and blues from Julia Lee to Ella Fitzgerald, Fats Waller to Billie Holliday, led by the stunning vocals of Ruby Theodore.

Plus short stories from Lucy Lill and more.

Come early to order some of The Miller's delicious hot dogs, salads or slaws from the award-winning Street Kitchen or to sample their excellent selection of beers, wines and cocktails…
