This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is ‘Inspiring Change’. Central’s event has been set up by two passionate Applied Theatre students, Rebecca and Natasha, who are co-producing the festival. They are working collaboratively with others students at Central, hailing from all corners of the globe, and creating a truly international community. We look forward to welcoming you.
Students at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama are hosting an arts festival to celebrate International Women’s Day. Annually on 8th March, thousands of events occur worldwide to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. This event will be an exciting example of a student body coming together to celebrate the history and future of women across the globe. We invite you to come and come along and mark the occasion with us.

The festival will play host to representatives from acclaimed professional theatre companies such as Clean Break, Generation Arts and Tender. Guest speakers will be on hand with a wealth of insight into what it means to be a woman in 2014, workshops will take place for young and old and there will be a panel discussion with opportunities to question and explore, alongside performances taking place throughout the day.

Or, if you fancy browsing the exhibitions and installations, or relaxing in the onsite café, ushers will be on hand to show you around and answer any questions you may have. Complimentary treats will also be provided.
