Feed Your Mind is King’s College's second Festival of Food and Ideas. The aim of the festival is to showcase various aspects of research and study at King's College London on and around everybody's favourite topic, food.
Last year’s festival attracted over 2,000 people to a series of events which covered topics as diverse as the 'medieval diet' to 'the science of chocolate'.
This year's highlights:
We start the week on Monday 10 March looking at the effects of overconsumption, with a talk about 'Obese London'
The popularity of diets such as '5:2' will be considered at the Institute of Psychiatry's talk on 'Food, Diet & the Brain'
On Thursday lunchtime, we will hear from the creator of the first artificial burger, Dr Mark Post, about the state of 'Creating Meat with Stem Cell Technology'
On Thursday evening we will be looking into the 'Science of Curry'
Friday's audience will experience a live ‘journey to the centre of the gut’.
