Britain’s finest chefs are raising funds for local village charities by demonstrating their culinary skills.
Two star Michelin chef and Great British Menu winner Phil Howard who also oversees the food at local Barnes restaurant Sonny’s Kitchen will be joined by Atul Kochhar, twice Michelin starred chef and owner of Benares. Together they will all be running cookery theatre demonstrations in the old Victorian school building, Barnes Green Centre which will be sponsored by Leith’s School of Food and Wine.
The demos are part of a one day charity event set around Barnes’ idyllic village pond in which over 80 artisan food producers including local restaurateurs, will showcase their wares in a grand marquee. The marquee will be surrounded by an outdoor street-food picnic area which will also showcase a range of live music throughout the day including Jazz from The Bull’s Head.
