** POPPY APPEAL **

Poppy Appeal is a new trio comprising Liam Dunachie - electric piano, Jamie Leeming - guitar and David Ingamells - drums. The three musicians met while studying on the jazz course at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and are all now active on the London jazz scene. Between them they have worked with many of the top names in British jazz, including Alec Dankworth, Liane Carroll, Digby Fairweather and the London Jazz Orchestra. With this new project, they have been writing arrangements and reinterpretations of great pop songs by artists as diverse as Michael Jackson, Queen and Maroon 5, and translating them into a groove-laden, jazzy idiom with a sound that is distinctly their own.
