Half Term Rock/pop Band Camp 12-17yrs

Come and join us this half term at our MAY JAM SESSION!

A half term band camp for aspiring young performers at Ritz Music in Richmond.

Learn to jam with other musicians and star in a concert held for friends, family and the public at the end of the course.

Group and individual tuition from experienced, working musicians*.

Students will learn how to take any training they have, formal or not, and use it in a band situation

Singers, Guitarists, Bassists, Pianists, Drummers, Percussionists, Ukulele players, Horn section members all welcome (with enough notice we can cater for most instruments).

4 Day course for 12-17 yr olds (younger performers will also be considered).

Students will learn how to take any training they have, formal or not, and use it in a band situation. The songs will help educate them in reading chord charts, ear training and technical ability. We also aim to help with improvisational skills, confidence building and general musicianship.

Some students may be more at home playing from sheet music or by ear; some may be more comfortable with spontaneous jamming. It will gently encourage them to come out of their comfort zone under our guidance.

Students should be at a minimum/equivalent level of grade 2 practical, although not necessary to have any formal qualifications.
