Join us for an evening of classical, jazz and African music in support of education projects in Liberia. The programme will include the Heath Quartet performing movements of Schubert's 'Death and the Maiden,' pianist Charles Owen performing Mendelssohn's 'Variations Serieuses,' and original music by kora-player Kadialy Kouyate, jazz vocalist Alice Zawadzki and jazz pianist Alex Hutton. Other performers include Kamilla Arku (piano), Hannah Dawson (violin), Mbiri Kuwirirana (mbira duo) and Kuumba Youth Music.

The venue is the beautiful and intimate St. Gabriel's Church, Pimlico, and the concert will be followed by a reception of home-cooked West African food.

Music for Liberia is happy to work in association with Street Child, a UK charity which works with some of the most vulnerable children in Liberia and Sierra Leone, as well as their communities. All proceeds from the concert will go towards an education project run by Street Child in Liberia.
