STABAT MATER 2014: Spirit, Strength & Sorrow

A FREE concert featuring three world premieres performed by one of the world’s greatest choral ensembles!

Harry Christophers and The Sixteen perform the world premieres of three new Stabat Mater commissions from the Genesis Foundation by Alissa Firsova, Tõnu Kõrvits and Matthew Martin, in a free lunchtime concert at LSO St Luke’s.

Describing the sorrow of Mary at the Cross, these moving and accessible choral pieces by three leading composers working across Europe today are premiered alongside music by the Renaissance master William Byrd and readings of poems by William Blake.

Admission is free but ADVANCE BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
