Keats House in partnership with Templar Poetry present the acclaimed Northern Irish poet Damian Smyth launching his new collection Mesopotamia along with Tom Weir launching his new poetry pamphlet The Outsider.

This is the inaugural event of a new series of regular Templar Poetry Live readings at Keats House bringing new poetry voices - usually from outside the capital to a London audience.

Damian Smyth is a poet, playwright and critic who is also Head of Literature and Drama at Arts Council Northern Ireland, and Mesopotamia is his fifth colelction. His poetry is located in his home town of Downpatrick - but the preoccupation of his work is universal.

He is a superb reader of his work - an evenuing not to be missed.

Tom Weir is one of the winners of the iOTA Shot Pamphlet Awards and accompanies Damian with poems from The Ousider
