28 May 2014 is World Hunger Day!
World Hunger Day aims to inspire people all over the world to show their solidarity and support for the women, men and children that are ending their own hunger and poverty, and making their journey towards self-reliance. The day celebrates the achievements of these individuals and focuses on the incredible progress that has been made thus far. Did you know that the share of people living in extreme poverty – on less than £1 per day – has been cut in half globally from 43% in 1990 to less than 20% today?
Celebrate this incredible progress with us by holding a Come Dine Below the Line dinner party! Get together with friends and family in the coming month and create a meal costing 33p per person (the same amount as someone living below the poverty line would have)and raise awareness for World Hunger Day.
One meal, one food challenge, one important message.
