Dragon Boat Festival

The 2014 London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival will be held on Sunday June 29 at the London Regatta Centre. The annual event has grown to become a significant date in London’s cultural summer calendar, attracting visitors from across the UK and overseas.

In addition to hosting Europe’s most spectacular dragon boat race – with 4 cups up for grabs - the free, family-friendly event will include the following attractions:

- Food festival offering the flavours of Eastern Asia
- Live music with two East West Festival stages showcasing new music from both the East and the West
- Martial arts displays
- Traditional Chinese lion dancing

Organised by London Chinatown Lions Club with continued support from The Hong Kong Executives Club, The London Chinatown Chinese Community Centre and supported by, Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office, this year's festival – the 19th – promises to be build on the huge success of 2013, which saw crowds of up to 10,000.

In addition to being one of the capital’s summer highlights, London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival is organised as a fund-raising event with all net proceeds donated to nominated charities supported by London Chinatown Lions Club.
