Caroline Loftus & F.R.E.D

This is an exciting Cuban music project from fabulous singer Caroline Loftus and her band, “Fred” (featuring Flavio Correa-percussion, Davide Mantovani-bass, David Oliver-piano, Neil Waters-trumpet) performing tunes inspired by a combination of 1950's Havana and the swinging sounds of Hollywood. The material is perfectly suited to Caroline’s gorgeous, mellifluous voice and with an all-star Cuban band behind her, the songs marry the spirit of Cuba with the sparkling polish of tinseltown. An artist of international standing, Caroline was featured on a number of tracks for the 2009 BBC “Children in Need” album and has been busy writing music for American TV via her project “Riveraire”. Her cv also includes work at prestigious venues around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Nederland Dance Theatre.
