The world’s greatest living explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, has spent the past 40 years making seemingly impossible challenges of endurance his life’s work and demonstrating the extreme capabilities of the human body.
His illustrated talk ‘Living Dangerously’ takes us on a journey through his record-breaking expeditions and the toughest challenges he’s faced so far. These include being the first to reach both poles by surface travel, the first to cross the Antarctic and Arctic Ocean and the first to circumnavigate the world along its polar axis. Four months after suffering a heart attack he ran seven marathons in seven consecutive days on all seven continents and more recently climbed the North Face of the Eiger and summited Everest. He is regarded as one of the finest motivational speakers in the world.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go to The Urology Foundation: the only UK charity to fund research into cancers and diseases of the prostate, bladder and kidneys.
