Physics In The Pub By Physics Unbound

Two physicists will each give a talk, and drawing on their skill, wit and charm, they will take us into their fascinating world for an evening, introducing us to the kind of physics that will fire us up and leave us wanting more.

Dr Ben Still will explain in less than 30 minutes the history of our Universe from the first seconds after the Big Bang to the first stars, how he knows this (as well as other physicists of course..not just Ben), and what big mysteries there are still to be solved.

Dr Chris North (co-presenter on that little show we all know and love, The Sky at Night), will bring us closer to home, sharing the story behind the formation of our solar system. Chris too will tease us with some of solar system’s remaining mysteries.

We will throw in a few physics pub quiz questions, and to help to keep it light, the excellent comedian, Rik Moore will be our compere for the evening.

Physics in the Pub is designed to be a good night out. The talks are for people with no physics background looking for something different to do, as well as those who know a little about the subject who want to indulge their interest. Bring yourself, or come with friends and partners.
