Searcys Celebrate 10 Years At The Gherkin

This year, Searcys will celebrate its tenth year within The Gherkin, one of London’s most recognisable landmarks, by throwing open the doors of its restaurant to the public for the very first time.

Located in the top three levels of the 180m building, Searcys Restaurant and Bar is London’s highest private members club, offering unparalleled panoramic views of the city. The venue features a private lounge, restaurant and private dining rooms, alongside the renowned glass domed bar at the very top of The Gherkin.

Traditionally restricted solely to occupiers of 30 St Mary Axe or private members of Searcys Club, this summer Searcys will open its restaurant on the 39th floor of The Gherkin to the public for 8 weeks, inviting guests to enjoy the 360° views from the relaxed, understated venue and sample its world class dining with a 10 course tasting menu.

The 10 course tasting menu, developed by Head Chef Matthew Edmonds, will bring together a range of suitably celebratory ingredients and fresh seasonal produce to create a mouth-watering selection of dishes, including Scallops with Jersey Royals, Peas and Feves; Red Mullet with Bouillabaisse and a Bread Foam; Ham Hock with Saffron and Cauliflower and Strawberries with a Champagne Jelly. An a la carte menu will also be offered for lunch and dinner and a special brunch menu will be available on Sundays, serving brunch classics and launching a Bloody Mary station, allowing guests to mix up their own perfect version of the cocktail.

Available for 6 weeks only, Searcys’ tenth year celebrations will offer a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience from within one of London’s most famous buildings, while soaking up the atmosphere of one of its most exclusive members clubs.
