Award winning singer, musician, song writer and recording artist Errol Linton will be taking to the stage at September’s Jump Jive and Shout performing harmonica driven blues at it’s very best.

Voted harmonica player of the year on three occasions, the exceptional Errol Linton was born and raised in London of Jamaican parentage. Inspired and influenced by the blues greats Howlin’ Wolf and Sonny Boy Williamson, New Orleans blues and 50’s Chicago blues, Errol Linton has performed for the BBC & Chanel 4 and in cities all over Europe including France, Ireland and Scotland, as well as in popular London venues such as Ronnie Scott’s and The Hideaway. Errol Linton has also performed on the same bill as support for great names in music for example Screaming Jay Hawkins, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Dr John and Bo Diddley, his acclaimed recording “Mama Said” has received rave reviews from well respected music critics the world over.

The raw, gritty, natural roots sounding Errol Linton is among the very best harmonica players in the world and follows on from where Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson (both of them) and Junior Wells left off. A worthy successor to all the great blues kings, and fitting in with the early juke-joint feel and mood of Jump Jive and Shout perfectly. Do not miss.

The first set begins at around 9.35 pm

Line up:
Errol Linton – vocals and harmonica
Adam Blake – guitar
Pete Zivkovic – piano

Plus DJ Jeniffer spinning the pulsating 1940’s and 50’s rhythm and blues, doo wop, boogie woogie, jump jive, blues shouters and more – the roots of rock and roll.
