The Factory is delighted to announce its upcoming run of The Odyssey from 26 August - 6 September 2014, at 7.30pm each evening. Directed by 2014 Tony Award nominee Tim Carroll. Tickets only £10.

The Factory is an actor led collective who redefine live theatre. No sets, no costumes, no props. Just imagination, passion and a whole lot of spontaneity.

Each performance is different for the audience and the actors. Often informed by obstructions and instructions, the Factory present unique re-imaginings of the stories we think we know.

The Odyssey:

Homer's Odyssey was spoken not written. It was too deep for that. Too malleable. Too epic.

It wouldn't be held down, shouldn't be tidied, shan't be tamed.

The Factory aren't trying to.

Drawing upon a store of songs, dances, new writing, and real life experiences they are delving into their wild souls, and loving hearts to breathe life into Odysseus in whatever way he demands every night.

To get him home. Past Sirens, tempests, Gods and monsters. Into the arms he has missed all those years.

If you have ever loved someone, lost someone or found someone this story is for you. And about you.

Directed by Tony Nominated Tim Carroll (Twelfth Night, Richard III - Shakespeare's Globe, West End, Broadway) and performed by a shifting group of The Factory's fearless and heartfelt company.
